Winchester Lodge No. 20, F&AM Limited is a 501(c)(3) fraternal nonprofit organization chartered under the Grand Lodge of Kentucky, F. & A.M., located in Winchester, Kentucky — the county seat of Clark County in the heart of the Bluegrass region. The Lodge carries on a tradition of brotherhood, charity, and community service rooted in the principles of Freemasonry.
Winchester, founded in 1793, is known for its National Register downtown with Victorian-era architecture, the historic Clark County Courthouse where Henry Clay argued his final case (1849), and as the birthplace of beer cheese and home of Ale-8-One, Kentucky’s signature soft drink. The city is called the “Gateway to the Mountains,” connecting the Bluegrass to the Appalachian foothills.
Clark County holds deep pioneer history, from the Shawnee town of Eskippakithiki to Strode’s Station (1779). The Bluegrass Heritage Museum preserves regional artifacts spanning agriculture, medicine, and the Civil War. The Leeds Center for the Arts anchors Winchester’s cultural life in a restored historic theater on Main Street.
